Flensborg Avis is a Danish-language newspaper for a Danish minority in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. It was quite a search for FLA to find an app agency that could develop an app with the functionalities they wanted. In addition, a flexible, pro-active working attitude was also required from the developer.
Within a short time, Media Apps has created a hardcoded Danish-language app that shows the Danish language in news and in navigation despite the phone’s country settings (German). The app has intuitive navigation and shows multiple types of publications, including newspapers and magazines. In addition to audio (podcasts), video reports can also be played via web views. FLA is a paid newspaper and therefore a paywall is used. A historical archive will be added in due course.
